AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WRGB) -The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person killed in a fire Monday night at the Pine Meadow Mobile Home Park in Amsterdam.

In a news release released early Tuesday morning, Sheriff Jeff Smith said 77 year old Ramona Hall was found inside the trailer after the fire was out. It happened last night at 6:15 PM at the Route 67 complex. We’re told two cats also died.

The mobile home was destroyed in the fire. The cause is under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Fire Investigation team, and the New York State Office Of Fire Prevention and Control.

An autopsy is scheduled for a later date to determine an exact cause of death.
