Samsung is preparing to launch the next iteration of its flagship Galaxy series of smartphones in a couple of weeks time.

As it continues to do battle with Apple, the South Korean company is pulling out all the stops to make the new phone a hit with gadget fans.

And a new report suggests that a pair of new, wireless headphones will work alongside the phone, similar to Apple’s AirPods.

But, unlike the AirPods, the brand new ‘Samsung Galaxy Buds’ will support wireless charging. Not only that, but you’ll apparently be able to place them on top of the Galaxy S10 and juice them up wirelessly from the phone itself.

Like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 is rumoured to have ‘reverse wireless charging’. Meaning you can effectively turn it into a charging mat.

While mostly a gimmicky feature, the option to quickly charge up a pair of compatible wireless headphones on the move could come in handy.

According to WinFuture, these new Galaxy Buds will be sold separately and could come in at around €149. That would put them around £130 which is about £30 cheaper than Apple’s £160.
